To achieve our vision, we must be purposeful and deliberate with our resources. Our strategic plan establishes the framework from which we can efficiently and effectively execute our mission.
The process of developing a Strategic Plan for CCWC began with a planning session involving the Board of Directors, staff and a team of professional facilitators. The session produced vision and mission statements for the coalition, as well as the identification of strategic goals. In addition, the group also discussed priority actions to achieve each of the goals, metrics for gauging the success of the plan, and potential budget implications of the identified tactics.
These preliminary accomplishments were reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors during its March 12, 2013 meeting. Fine tuning of the priority action items and metrics continued, with the following strategic goals developed during a two-day planning session in October, 2014:
Membership – Sustainable membership growth focused on providing a stronger employer voice.
Advocacy – Be the lead advocate and educational resource to maximize stakeholders’ influence with policymakers.
Branding / Communications – Establish CCWC as an innovative leader in California workers’ compensation employer advocacy.
Education – Provide leading-edge educational opportunities and solutions for workers’ compensation stakeholders.
