Senate President Pro-Tem Delays Administrative Director's Confirmation

On Wednesday, June 25th, 2008 after significant testimony to the inclusiveness and equability of DWC Administrative Director, Ms. Carrie Nevans, the Senate Rules Committee chose to delay her confirmation until after the conclusion of the Permanent Disability Rating Schedule public hearings to be held later this month. Representatives from every interest group in California's workers' compensation system testified in gratitude and respect of Ms. Nevans' inclusive nature, the efficacy in which she has run the Division of Workers' Compensation, and a respect to the enormity of what she has accomplished in establishing the plethora of regulations necessary to implement the 2003 and 2004 reforms. The employer community, thanks to CCWC members submitted numerous letters in support of Ms. Nevans' confirmation and that support did not go unnoticed by the members of the Committee nor Ms. Nevans or the Administration.
