Combating Insurance Fraud

January 19, 2017

During this in-person seminar, hosted in conjunction with CalChamber, attendees learned about the latest developments in the investigation and prosecution of insurance fraud from both the state and local enforcement perspectives, what’s required to prove insurance fraud, and the dos and don’ts of moving through an investigation to the Special Investigations Unit and the filing of a Suspected Fraudulent Claim Referral Form (FD-1).

The program featured Laureen Pedroza, Assistant Chief of the California Department of Insurance, Enforcement Branch; and Dale Kitching, Deputy District Attorney, Insurance Fraud Unit, of the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.

Please note that, due to the sensitive nature of the content of portions of the presentations, materials from the seminar are not available for distribution.
