What to Know Before You Go

The California Coalition on Workers’ Compensation (CCWC) is excited to welcome more than 700 participants to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa for our 17th Annual Conference: Legislative & Educational Forum, presented by Sedgwick. Listed below are some important details for your travels and conference planning.

Logistics

Conference Check-In

To finalize your registration process, you will receive an email from erin@ccwcworkcomp.org with the subject line, “California Coalition on Workers’ Compensation 17th Annual Conference Check-In.” Please follow the instructions contained in the email to add or verify your mobile phone number. Your information will not be shared with any other entity.

Upon your arrival at the conference, there will be two self-serve kiosks near the CCWC registration desk. Please check-in and receive your name badge by dialing the phone number displayed on the kiosk.

Additional conference materials will be available at the CCWC registration desk, which will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, and Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Transportation/Parking

If you are flying to the John Wayne/Orange County Airport, there are several ground transportation options. A taxi ride is $40-50, shared van service (Super Shuttle) is approximately $12, and the Disneyland Resort Express is $35 for a round-trip ticket. The Disneyland Resort Express leaves the airport every hour from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Self-parking at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa for conference attendees is $25 per night, and $35 for valet parking. Both include in-and-out privileges. The same rates apply to single-day parking with once-in/once-out privileges.

Conference Presentations

Presentations from the many general and concurrent sessions to be presented at the conference are now available online. Please note that presentations posted online represent all those that have been received from the presenters. Check back periodically for updated content.

Continuing Education Credits

Continuing education credit forms will be available through WorkCompCentral at the East Registration Desk. Attendees can earn up to 12.5 Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credits, 12.5 Legal Specialization credits, or 12.5 Claims Examiner credits.

Free Wi-Fi

The conference includes free wi-fi. You can connect via DLR Convention, no password is required.

Kids' Chance of California will be conducting a silent auction during the conference. You can place your bid via this link starting Wednesday, July 17 at 7:30 a.m. through Friday, July 19 at 10 a.m. Visit the Kids' Chance booth number 309 in the Expo Hall for more information on the bidding process, and check out the amazing travel packages.

Vendors will also conduct Exhibitor Prize Drawings, in which they will present prizes to attendees who have entered the drawings being conducted at each booth. These prizes will be presented at the end of the Thursday afternoon general session.
